Anabel met Heaven and me in downtown Houghton Michigan on a blustery, autumn afternoon for her portrait session. We grabbed some quick shots around town before we headed off to the feature location: her family’s historic dairy farm on the east side of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Farms are some of my very favorite places to shoot. There’s no lack of texture, space, and in this case – old trucks and real cows! I think the other reason I love shooting at farms: light. This shoot – like most sessions – I shot with all natural light on a couple FujiFilm X-series mirrorless bodies with fixed lenses. But you don’t care about that. Check out her stunning set.
