I’m like the Kurtz family photographer. And every time I photograph their family, their friends, their pets – I feel like I’m in the middle of a movie set. Everyone is so damn pretty. More than pretty though, they are all just lovely people at their core. Focused on family, friendship, music, and togetherness – I’m hugged and kissed as much as a bride or a baby. Leah and Josh chose the Keweenaw Peninsula at the tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as their spot to trade rings, and they did this in her parents’ backyard on the shore of Portage Lake. Summer sun, gorgeous people (trust me, ALL of them) laughter, and love. And wait – ice sculptures, a poet-preacher, a paddle-boarding bride, a bluegrass band? Is this real life? No. Actually it is not. See for yourself.
